Thank you. I looked up "Caste System" in Wikipedia. I learned that people called "Brahmins" are at the top of the pyramid. I suppose those people would equate to Imams, BBC news staff, university professors and Marxists. Correct?

OK - my field of expertise (next to pro wrestling and "Woodstock nation"...)

The caste system was/is basically a corruption of the (divinely inspired?) "varna-ashrama" system that divided society into four spiritual divisions and four social orders.

Uh-oh, I've gotta go to a class. This link gives a lot of info:http://hinduism.iskcon.com/lifestyle/901.htm
