Watch out for this trend. Apparently kids set teachers up, one student "taking the fall" as it were, riling up a teacher for no reason whatsoever while his/her pal waits with cellphone camera ready, simply to see if they can get a teacher to flip out, and subsequently post the video on You Tube. Just saw Leno talking about it last night, describing it as "the newest fad."

I'm guessing it will become standard fare here in a few months/year or so.

Watch out!

There are already heaps of clips of Korean teachers (and even a few FTs) flipping out on the Korean Net.

Bring it on! All they get from me is 500 lines of some grammar point so it won't make particularly exciting viewing!

My former school collects all cell phones from students, and doesn't give them back until the end of the day.

Schools need to get smart and do this.

That's a good idea.

Wait, so are kids doing this to get the teacher fired or just for laughs?

I would assume that if the kids hate the teacher bad enough, they would try this tactic to get the teacher fired or in trouble.

Check out this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbdWVO8D8uQ

I think I should show it to my students at the beginning of the year next year.

There's another one of those floating around. Different teacher/students/lecture hall, but same story: smash phone and continue lecturing.
