I am sure this has been posted, but I could not find it through search or going back 20 pages. So forgive me for a repost.

I take a few medicines, and I am wondering how difficult it is to get them in Korea. Is it covered by our "heath insurance"? Will I need to see a doctor right away upon entering in order to get a new prescription? I appreciate all of your help and wisdom.

Get a 3 month supply from your current doctor before you leave, that way you have some cushion to find a doctor in sk.

As well as bringing medication with you I would suggest sending an email to one of the International Clinics in one of the hospitals in Seoul and asking them if the medications you use are used / available here.

Like you I take several medications and one of them happens to be not widely used in Korea ... and I had some trouble finding someone who could supply it to me here ... I was lucky that I was able to get and bring six months worth of medication with me to Korea ....

I'm allergic to shellfish...I know that EpiPen does not have a manufacturer in SK (as per their website)...does anyone know of a self-medicating epinephrine or adrenaline shot that is available in SK? Also, does anyone have any experience with being treated in a SK hospital for anaphylaxis, or know of someone with such an experience?

Thanks a ton
