maybe i am just way behind the times, but i have never really used the internet for movie/tv clips. ive done a bit of searching but havent really found a site that offers a nice selection of viewing material. now that i have a classroom with some technonogy i would like to use multimedia in each class. for example, i am looking for a clip from A Christmas Carol that i can show in class. does anyone know of a website that gives a pretty comprehensive listing of programs? |

If I'm looking for a quick clip, youtube usually has a snippet from the film. When I did a Halloween lesson, I showed the opening sequence from Nightmare before Christmas, where they are singing about Halloween. It was a three minute lead-in to the lesson so was perfect. I've not found anyother sites that are as accessible and quick loading as youtube.
Some of the clips done by people can be quite interesting too. I find it good as authentic material because the language isn't graded and you usually find what you want all the time.
You should be able to find A christmas carol there too.
But if anyone else has good sites I love to hear about them too. |

I have all that Christmas stuff, videos, songs etc.... I'll be putting up a Christmas folder shortly.
You might try teachertube also, for a selection of educational videos. I have compiled quite a few videos, hundreds on my Batcave site. Just click any of the video links. Lots there on all sorts of topics and many with handouts. You just need a quick emaill address pw sign in with esnips to download.....
