But she speaks VERY little English. We rode a bus together back to our home town..which is close and had a awkard ride as she couldn't understand pretty much any English. She would just giggle and hit my shoulder wheever I spoke in English to her. But I got her email address and she waved goodbye to me and all of that good stuff. I sent her an email earlier today using an online English to Korean translator. She did tell me she drinks lot's of soju while we were waiting at the bus stop.
My question to guys who have been with Korean girls before, and I know there are a lot of you because I hear stories about it whenever I encounter most westerners...when you meet up to hang out with a Korean girl and you cannot communicate god at all...what are some of your experiences dealing with this barrier? Maybe some Korean girls don't care about talking as long as they are with a westerner?? Some stories please. |

I've had some wicked experiences with girls who don't speak a lick. Really, GREAT experiences.
This girl, at 20, is probably 18 real age, and so is probably a high school student so you're probably in for a world of hurt from other posters. I'd say, as a guy, that you'll probably have more fun with someone older. I'll chuck in a disclaimer though and say: If you suspect I'm wrong, give me her number before you hit a homerun. I used to be a professional test-driver. |

So how did it go down. They just don't give a shit and want to sleep with you after drinking and making funny gestures??? I am always worried when I talk to a K-girl that she will find it too awkard...the language barrier...and be turned off. Maybe I am worrying about nothing? |

20 is 18 or 19 in Korea. A lot quite school because their teachers or principals sexually harrassed them and study at home. So they take some time off school and study a little bit at home at take odd jobs here and there where they are sometimes sexually exploited again. Especially in the country. So it could in fact be a high school girl.
Anyway, nothing wrong with 18 or 19. That's how old they are in Playboy. You may, however, find a group of Koreans with pitchforks and torches outside your apartment. Heard of that happening.
Look at it this way, too. The same girl back home might think you're a creep and a pervert and would sick her brother on you. |

At least he's man enough or stupid enough to admit it. I bet at least half the posters here are the same.
OP, don't get the silly attitude I got here where I thought Korean women were so mysterious and different. Maybe they still live at home at 28 here, but a woman is a woman. And yes women like to have sex. Their culture represses more of them than if they all lived in America, but I'm sure if you're decent looking and not particularly strange you'll succeed in your endeavours.
You sound a little desperate or overeager though, cool that down a bit, women can always sense that out of us guys. |

Bring a notebook and two pens (don't bust them out all at once though right at the beginning when you sit down, looks contrived) if you're going somewhere you can talk. It helps worlds to draw pictures. My first real date in Korea was when I was still working on the language, and though we used all Korean I still only understood about half of what she said so we filled up about three full pages over two hours or so. You'd be surprised how much awkwardness it removes from a conversation when you have a language barrier. And then you can doodle together too. |

No, I think you should worry a little. She sounds very young as well. Also, you can't expect anything based on cues you would use back home to gauge interest. Giggling and hitting your arm might mean you're golden, but it could also mean absolutely nothing. A lot of girls drink a lot but it doesn't mean they are easy or interested in you. Get ready for the confusing headache that is Korea. Also, learn to take your time, relax and don't be an arse. They are people with actual feelings too, so be careful what you do. |
