All,

Its 'er indoors' birthday this Saturday so we thought we could spend the night in a decent hotel rather than on our so called 'matress'.

Does anyone know of any decent hotels in or around Seoul that have decent spa (sauna etc) so we could make a day of it.

Looking at around 100,000 for the night, maybe more if its snazzy. Def looking for less though, she's not that 'special'

The JW Marriot near the Express Bus Terminal in Gangnam is swanky. I don't know about the spa, however.

If she was "special" I'd say go for the Imperial Palace. Go online get a discount for the Club room floor. $300 a night but it comes with access to the club room and free breakfast and light lunch/supper with plenty of free booze. At this time of year, you're not going to be able to use the outdoor pool but the room comes with free use of the spa and the indoor pool/hot tub.

The hotel seems to be popular with Gangnam area celebs and if your GF is Korean, can be a fun for her to spot some A listers. "Oh, we stayed at the same hotel as Kim blah blah."
