| hi. got back from the visa run about 3 weeks ago. got a multiple entry visa in passport. is there an additional "residency card" to be obtained? is there a "shelf-life" as to how long after rec'ing visa that such can be obtained? |

| Yeah you have to get your alien registration card (ARC). I think you're supposed to do it within 3 months of arriving, though I don't remember exactly. My employers were always keen to get it done fast. |

Yes you have 90 days to get your ARC ... But given that health insurance and pension both need you to have the ARC before they are taken out... it is a good idea to do it ASAP ...
