Tens of thousands of householders are today preparing for some of the worst coastal floods in decades.
Sea levels could rise up to 9ft this morning along part of the East Coast, putting lives at risk.
Sea defences in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft could be breached around 7am, sending a torrent of salt water into the towns.

Looks like Hillary Benn took the Bumest Job in Parlement - unless he deals with it so people respect him. I hope it's the latter.

I've heard that Hull could could take a large part of the damage, so it's not all bad news. |

steady on mate I graduated from the University of Hull and, despite Blackadder's immortal words, its half decent. The other half, namely the locals, I hope they catch the worst bits of the tidal wave.

Ha! That's the second time today I've been reminded of funny Blackadder moments.
Blackadder: You remember I mentioned the three great universities: Oxford, Cambridge and Hull?
Nurse Mary (accused of being a wartime German spy): Yes, well?
Blackadder: No true English woman would fail to spot that only two of those are great universities.
Gen. Melchett: Quite right! Oxford's a complete dump! |
