Last night i went to take the girlfriend for dinner at the Thai Orchid, unaware that they had closed for refurbishment.

Anyway, we went into the new place below the Thai Orchid which is now called Kabinett. A really nice wine bar, good food, English owner, staff spoke good English. The food was great, reasonably priced and good portions.....and 6 to 8 was happy hour which was 50% of a glass of wine.

Caught the last end of the happy hour but stayed longer. Something really different for Itaewon!!

Definetly recommended as different place to go in Itaewon.

You're joking right?
Seriously, what was it that did it for you?
-The 70's faux stone wall?
-The blue and red neon strip lights?
-The cheap and tacky light fittings?

The whole place looks as if it was decorated with crap from a liquidation sale.
When the guy from Pieroth wine told me that it had just opened, I nearly spat my overpriced sugary sweet wine back into their cheap assed glass.

I was talking more in terms of the atmosphere the place had, the type of people who were in there were not your normal Itaewon crowd and the choice of wine (perhaps you need to make a better choice next time?).
