Having just got back here on Tues I can tell you with 100% accuracy the money exchange booth BEFORE you go out the doors after you passed through customs is open until at least 10:15-10:30PM, think they close after the last flight comes in which I think was mine (United 883 from Narita). The ones outside of customs were all closed.

BTW if you do get in that late (after 10P) and need to use your Korean ATM card, the ATMs that take foreign cards will take Korean cards until 11:30PM but the regular bank ATMs all shut down at 10P. Also applies to all the NICE ATMs you find in the subway stations, bus terminals etc

Yea, but sometimes you need quick cash. Throw down US $100, get some won, you've got bus fare to your city and snacks for the weekend, ya know?

True, but I'd recommend getting some Won converted before heading over.

Airport exchange rates can be brutal!

It's true. I had to exchange all of my money there because my boss didnt have my money for me until the day I left. (insert bad word here) I still came away with a few thousand, but that extra couple of bucks would have helped.
