Hi
Want to get away to a nice beach foR 5-6 days during lunar new year feb 2008. Looking for some where fairly close so travel time is short, and that's not over the top exspensive. Was thinking Phillippines? Does anyone know travel time from Korea, flight cost around Lunar New Year, and accom living cost?
Cheers

Travel time:
4 hours to CLARK
4.5 hours to MANILA
4.5-5 hours (depending on airline) to CEBU.
Costs will run about:
400k won to Clark
550k won to Manila
700k won to Cebu over the holidays.
Living costs run from 30k - 200k per day depending on what you want to do and how extravigant you want to get.
OK pension houses run 15k won per day.
The penthouse suite at the metrotown hotel (business hotel on Bohol) is 80k won per day. The Mariott hotel in Cebu is the same rate for a regular room.
Beach resorts run from 30k - 200k per day.
Best advice = Boracay or Alona beach.
Lots of good advice here in the travel forum, just do a simple search.
