On the north side of Changwon near Yongjidong, is a construction site for the new Buk Changwon Station at the foot of the rocky mountain range at the edge of town.
The design plan is shown in computer generated images on parts of the high fence along the road leading to the site, a Buddhist temple, rice paddies, tiny farms, makeshift trailer restaurants, and a trail head with contorted face totem poles for awesome mountain climbing.
It's quite an impressive looking design with includes the trains snaking through tunnels most of the time at the outer perimeter of Changwon at the foot of the rockies as they come in and out of the local area.
It's interesting to see how the new forces the old ways out, but sad at the same time. |

I doubt it. But, considering that changwon and masan combine for over a million people, it wouldn't be a bad idea. But, I don't see them upgrading the tracks to high speed ones. |

The station and line are due for completion in 2015.........they started construction early this year.
That is 8 years yet so don't get to excited...
They are not upgrading an old track, the are building a whole new track, the station will be next to Changwon university. |
