|
|
i'll be going home when my contract is up, and I was thinking about letting my girlfriend come with me so I can show her around the US. She's only been to L.A. I live on the East Coast so I want to show her around.
Is it difficult to get a tourist visa? Is there a really long wait? |

When did she go to LA? tourist visas are good for 10 yrs, so maybe she's good to go.
Fee is 100 bucks, have to get an interview, have to provide financial info, etc. She should set up an appointment now.
My ex didn't have any trouble getting a visa, but she had about $15K in the bank at the time. i think the whole process took her a month or so. Interview was 2-3 weeks from when she set up appointment, then she had to leave her passport at the embassy for another week before she could pick it up.
Check out the us embassy website for up-to-date info. |
