Arirang TV seems to be promoting some kind of sit com about a family of vampires or something trying to live like normal Koreans. They may or may not be running a hagwon. It just screams "The Munsters".

Just remake Land of the Giants. A family of 4'8" North Koreans trying to live in Seoul.

Arirang doesn't produce dramas but simply airs them. Another bombshell is that the network got taken off the list of public broadcasters that all cable and satellite TV providers must air in Korea. Thus many cable companies might opt to stop airing Arirang (who says good things don't happen in Korea?).

Makes sense. No need for those IN Korea to watch propoganda TV. It's much more importnat for it to be exported to other countries.

The sitcom's called "Hello Francescia" and I mentioned it quite a while ago here.

The sitcom/drama about the vampire family? Kind of like a Korean version of "The Addams Family" or "The Munsters"? Glad to see that I'm not the only non-Korean fan in the universe.

It's actually very funny, but a lot of the humour is either lost in the translation or requires a lot of background information about contemporary Korean culture (e.g. pushy ajummas on the subway or who Andre Kim is).

I watched it when they were airing it originally. It was a pretty interesting show for one season.
