I'm posting this for a friend... he wants to know the following:

----------------------------------------

I have a question, is it possible to get a visa (E2) for part time work teaching english or is it only possible with full time work? Please no speculation, if you know then you know. Thanks to anyone who can reply

Yes, IF you can find a sponsor you can get an E2 visa with part time work.

The proviso is the IF.

Most sponsors want you to work full time cause they are only allowed so-many sponsored employees and you are using one of their sponsorships. They are also responsible for you so if you do things you are not allowed to under the terms of your status of sojourn, they get in trouble too.

Additionally, they are going to want to know what you will do with the rest of your time? Perhaps teaching illegally would be the obvious expectation.

Legal = yes.
Possbile = Yes.
Probable = NO.
