Anybody here ever sell anything on ebay? I just sold my third item, a sound card, and the winning bidder (in Australia) emailed me to apologize and say he's not gonna pay; that he didn't read the description well, he's so sorry, bla bla bla.
I'm going to report him as nonpaying, of course. I'd also like to leave negative feedback but I'm afraid he'll just do likewise and soil my perfect ebay record.
The whole ebay feedback mechanism seems to really discourage leaving negative feedback even when you're right pissed off.

Yup. Lots.
Take the neg and break your cherry. In the long run, one neg means nothing. Keep your response to the neg factual and unemotional, and people will see who the dick is. ("Won on XX/XX, no payment by XX/XX, NPB warning and neg left"). Post your own neg, just as factual.
I've got a few negs myself (from sellers who were dishonest in their descriptions or took my money and ran), but when they are buried under 700+ transactions, they mean nothing. |
