Maybe I spelled it wrong. There's a small or relatively small city that starts with a Y that is not too far from Ulsan, but I just don't know exactly how far.

Go to Busan, ride the KTX to Seoul, and then ride the subway to Yongsan. It's a 4 to 5 hour journey each way for you that will cost slightly over 100,000 won RT for KTX. There are slower ways of going such as bus or slow trains which cost about 40,000 won less.

I live in Changwon just west of Busan and it takes me 5 to 7 hours from the time I leave the apartment to Seoul depending on whether I take bus or train. Needless to say, I only went 2 times and probably will not go again this year as things like PC's and western foods can be bought outside of Seoul with the exception of those prilosec OTC pills and other American OTC medicines, but I'm stocked up.

the city you are probably referring to is YANGSAN..

This is on the expressway between Ulsan and Busan...

not accounting for traffic it wouldn't be more than 1 hour maximum...

I'll be a good samaritan and even tell u the bus timetable...

Here is Ulsan bus terminal timetable..
http://www.ulsan.go.kr/php/lifestyle/traffic/nbus02.html
Buses to yangsan(양산) are 3 or 4 an hour...and they are just as frequent coming back.
