Tried poshintang within a few weeks of arriving. Not bad at all.
And no, I never owned a dog in my life in case anyone decides to hit me with the 'how could you eat the family pet' argument.
Would I eat a cat? Probably. |

I've tried it a few times. It's okay but not amazing. The only reason I ever used to sing the praises of dog soup was to get on people's nerves.
Really though, dogs are beautiful, intelligent and useful creatures in contrast to the animals eaten in the West and should not be eaten - and certainly not in the disgraceful manner in which they are slaughtered. What sadistic, nasty, cruel, heinous, rancorous little people they are. |

Watch the BBC documentary "Eating in the danger zone." The second episode is about kaegogi in S. Korea.
The dogs are bred on a farm as livestock and they are electrocuted most of the time, not beaten anymore. And they are delicious, but I only eat it on special occasions. |

Do they serve dog soup in Public schools as part of the lunch?
One day, a teacher told me the wee meaty bits were duck, but the soup had a stronger taste and was darker brown.
After a few mouthfulls, I started to think that he had said dog and not duck. |

Indeed, excellent to see the Brits not hide behind political correctness and take on the Korean dog torturers, Japanese dolphin torturers and Chinese (and Korean) bear torturers head on. Never, ever have I observed such impairment of virtue, degenerate acts and moral putrefaction. |

I ate it out of curiosity. I wouldn't go out of my way to have it again as there are so many better options on the menu (and I don't need the stamina benefits). And on the subject of food, has anyone else tried tripe and intestine soup or pondegi? Both are more tasty than you might think. |

Chickens, cows and pigs are not the combination of beautiful, intelligent and useful I described above. Dogs, cats and dolphins are companions and cute (yes - cute is a factor); pigs', cows' and chickens' sole purpose on this planet, the reason for their existence, is to be eaten by humans. Cats exterminate vermin and are useful, benevolent companions. Dogs assist security (bomb-sniffing) and assist the blind and deaf and are also benevolent companions. Dolphins are amongst the smartest, most benevolent creatures observable in nature.
I feel sorry for pigs because they're smart creatures but also unsightly, thus humanity couldn't care less for their often unpleasant slaughter and sad end as bacon. |

I hate hearing about "stamina food." You know what increases stamina? More sex, mental and sexual exercises, not dog meat and not eel. |

Look at you all...so cutely trying to get a reaction .
Unless you are a vegetarian , you have no right to a moral high ground regarding what people eat . However , there can certainly be a case made that the way dog is eaten here is unnecessarily cruel .
Cats on the other hand ....eat and torture them all I say ! |

A proletarian myth and an ad hominem tu quoque fallacy. |
