| Big Bird, What part of that picture is still real? What age is she now, I just about remember Neighbours and that seemed quite a while ago so I'd put her at about 50. Things should really be going south soon! |
She's in her mid 30s I think. She's the younger sister of Kylie, who is now 39 years old. They both look pretty bloody good for now.
Edit: I just wikied her age - she just turned 37 the other week.
That picture will be airbrushed (or digitally enhanced) though. They invariably are these days. But I've seen her on the telly, and she's rather beautiful - more so than in that picture.
Here are some recent pictures of her, featured in that most highbrow of publications, The News of the World. Click on the red link: http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/xfactor/0710_dannii_bikini_file.shtml

Well of all the addictions you could have, sex addiction can't be the worse (unless you're an ugly bugger who couldn't get laid in a morgue). You'd get plenty of exercise at least, and it must be good for your heart! |
ugly sex addicts buy sex.
also, sex addicts are at risk of catching hiv/aids.
there is always the rape issue too.
any addiction is certainly very unhealthy. |
Well, if you use condoms or have a frisky partner, it could be less problematic. but yeah, it can't be good to be addicted to anything if it starts to affect your life in detrimental ways. But if I had to chose an addiction, I'd choose an addiction to sex over an addiction to heroin or alcohol.
Rape is something else - I'm sure being a sex addict doesn't necessarily take you down that path. |

Indeed. Rape is about power over another person. Sex addicts have no desire to have power over another person, they need power over themselves first. |

| Sex addiction is an interesting concept. I mean, say you are addicted to having sex three, four, five times a day, but it's with your wife. People probably not call you a "sex addict", they would say, "good job, how do you do it, you must be very healthy". It's only if you are having sex with three, four, or five DIFFERENT people per day that you become a "sex addict". So I think that it is society's inclination against promiscuity that is at work here. You are only a "sex" addict if you are into "promiscuous sex". |

Gonna stick my neck out here and get shot down but, is it to do with not being able to "function" properly. People may have a drug "addiction" but still work well, have lives, have families etc. They function well even though they have this addiction, probably as well as if they didn't have it. People may drink everyday but are they considered alcoholic? This seems less of a definate term as there are a lot of people who do this and function perfectly well.
That's why I agree with funkdafied and his idea that in some cases it's ok to be a sex addict if it's with your wife/girlfriend. In some cases the "addiction" is just accepted but when the same thing happens in a different setting, it's jumped on and scorned.
Sex addiction, in the case of the Russell *cough* twat guy, seems to be him getting bored with screwing girls the whole time, or growing up as it should be known. It's part of being a celebrity. Girls at your doorstep all the time. Robbie Williams realised that he was a smackhead, coke head and all the people surrounding him were free loaders who wanted that life and would carry him along. I have zero sympathy for people who give into these guilty pleasures and then at the end look for sympathy as though they're a wounded animal. Especially when they get all poetic on us. |

i'd want to be a sex addict too.
but what if you were addicted to having sex with multiple partners without the use of a condom?
would you want to be a sex addict then? or would you choose another addiciton? |

I think it's the best addiction for me, on reflection.
It wouldn't make me fat, like a chocolate addiction - and I'd be getting the exercise to boot. It wouldn't cost me stacks of dough (like say a drug habit), as I could get a regular supply of sex for free. And it wouldn't necessarily use up an exorbitant amount of my time, either.
Being female - getting hold of the multiple partners wouldn't be very difficult. I could schedule them to pop by my house at regular intervals, and being the dawgs that you men are, they'd happily agree to it. So I wouldn't have to spend hours of my time each week scouring bars and what-have-you. They'd be the ones who had to come out of their way (pun unintended). So, that part might not be such a problem - just the stigma and double standard that society still (in the 21st century) holds against women for not being (or pretending to be) 'chaste.'
The bit about not using condoms - eeek! That revolts me. I don't need to be exchanging fluids with any old bugger - that's for serious relationships - so I just can't imagine developing that addiction in the first place.
But I agree that people who are having unsafe sex with loads of different boys and girls have a serious problem.

This site is a bad addiction. I had to go digging to figure out who'd just attacked me in the other thread, and I really wish I hadn't.
Where's the puke smiley? Why don't they have a puke smiley at Dave's? |

Nob-head is in the paper again today:
And then I became a junkie ...
Gross:
| Quote: |
The dealers keep the bags in their mouths. When you buy one they spit it into their hand and you have to put it directly into your mouth. Even though you want the heroin, a little bit of you is thinking, "Eeugh! He's had it in his mouth." After a while, though, you stop thinking that. It's a bleak day when that happens. You know that's another little boundary that you've crossed, another principle chalked off to experience, another thing you've put behind you, because there's so little in front of you.
|
Blaming it on a bird:
| Quote: |
| The first time I realised I'd become addicted to heroin, I was staying with Amanda, the woman I've come closest to loving, in a risible 70s-style hotel in Ibiza. We lived together for six years, on and off, sometimes in Spain, where she came from, and sometimes in Britain, but there was never any prolonged period when we were what you'd call comfortable together. I'd go to see her in Ibiza, and we'd just ricochet from argument, to sex, to argument. (I remember chasing her down the street in nothing but a towel once, shouting, "Please come back!") Then I'd return home to London, to a life of whores and heroin. I wanted Amanda with me always, but because we spent most of our time apart, I went through a lot of psychological tumult, and increasingly used heroin to take the edge off. |

| Dude seems to take himself way to seriously. He needs to get a haircut, shave that stupid growth and get over himself. Really, blaming your heroin and *beep* habit on a breakup. A tad silly. |
