So i dropped my camera and the lens now won't retract and seems a bit off kilter. I was wondering if anyone knows where the best place to go would be to get it fixed. Is there a Sony service center in Yonogsan or maybe COEX? Any advice, tips or directions would be greatly appreciated. |

That is the right place. About 500m walk from Exit 3 of Singil Subway Station.
I was there a few weeks ago with my cybershot ( lcd screen broken - 100,000won to repair - so didn't bother) but very helpful staff.

The EXACT same thing happened to my Cybershot recently. Dropped it and the lens can't retract properly anymore. I brought it to a Sony sevice center at Seocho station (they're all over Seoul. I just had to bring a korean friend to communicate with them...as far as I know, Sony Korea doesn't have any English-speaking representatives). That one is open Mon-Sat, 9am-6pm, I think. But the repair guy leaves at 1pm on Saturday.
They wanted 150,000 to replace the lens. The camera only costs 200,000-250,000 new, so I am going to try Yongsan if I can find out where to go. |

Does anyone know of recommended shops for "cheap yet professional" digital camera repair? I imagine Yongsan is the place to go, but I need a lens replaced, so I don't want to bring my camera just anywhere. I brought it to the Sony service center but they wanted far too much, and some korean friends said I could do much better at an independant repair place.
Thanks,
