I love it! Such a total hick song
On the whole, I like anything from Exile on Main Street best - I can just put that whole album on perpetual repeat...
Also, the most underrated Stones tune = "Can't you hear me knocking" |

I am aware of that (Dead Flowers and Can't You Hear Me Knocking are both from Sticky fingers, I was just pointing out that I like Exile). |

I saw the Voodoo Lounge Tour in 1995 (Auckland NZ). Wuz in the first hundred rows which were supposed to be seated although nobody remained seated. Sympathy For the Devil kind of stuck in my mind - Mick Jagger was dancing on this elevated platform with this projected image of a giant devil's tale extending from his backside - that was kind of sublime...
Honky Tonk woman generated quite a commotion. The huge TV screens were showing these 1920's black and white flicks of women whipping guys and then suddenly a huge shot of the act of felatio appeared on the screens for a split second. Everyone wuz looking at each other like WTF ... did we just see what we thought we just saw ....
There was a kind of restless expectation towards the end of the concert and then a performance of Brown Sugar was given last. I shouted to the woman next to me "Been waiting all night to hear that" she said "me, too."
So ... I think I'd still put Brown Sugar as no.1 .... |
