|
|
I have been offered a job and am now required to submit some documents for my visa. I received an email which stated:
I need your some documents.
1. two certificate of scholarship (a bachelor, Master) (must be tested by a notary of the actual place)
2. two certificate of carrer (must be tested by a notary of the actual place)
3. two color portrait shots
They are documents that i mentioned.
As I know Somepeople have an original diploma in Korea. But it's not effect.
I asked the immigration Bureau/an assoiation of commerce and they said the documents for scholarship are be tested by a notary of the actual(foreign) place.
example, Mr.Reneau : as i know, Mr.Reneau graduated in England, So he need the certificate of scholarship
(must be tested by a notary of the england)
I think it's difficult, But it's necessary.
I am confused about what i am supposed to send to the employer. Do they mean manuscripts?
If anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it. I will try to get more information regarding this myself, but any extra information cannot hurt.
Thanks. |

They want you to get your certificates notarized. I think "two certificate of carrer" means "certificate of career" (in other words letters proving your previous employment experience). |

Thanks for your 'reply'.
1. I don't have a Masters, I have a BA Honors. Do they mean my degree?
2. What's a carrer? |

I was put through hell to get my E-7 visa. Immigration told me it was straightforward - visa application, diplomas or notarized copies (bachelors and masters), and resume (career). I cannot remember if I needed manuscripts, but get them just in case.
I ended up having to supply all of the above, plus letters from previous employers to support what my resume said. However, some of this was for my employer.
What I was told was that it is very difficult to get an E-7 visa for marketing work. However, there are other foreigners who seemed to get them easily.
Not having a masters might prove to be a problem for your visa application. As always, it depends upon the person at the relevant ministry who is taking care of your application.
By the way, how did your contract negotiations go? |

lol. and you're not going to have any!
if you are submitting your documents for a visa, then the deal is already sealed with whatever conditions, salary, bonuses you discussed verbally.
most korean companies don't have a signed contract (like teaching jobs do), but if you're smart, you'll ask to see one anyway. |

Just an update to what's been happening with my situation.
I was sent an email from said company regarding wages. They offered me a basic salary of 2.75 mill a month with a possible performance bonus of 7 mill upon completion of one year.
Just to recap, I asked for 4.1 million a month.
I said no thanks. I also asked how the bonus would be decided. |

To be honest, I think you will be struggling to get your 4.1 million per month. That is a pretty high salary for someone with only a bachelor's and no experience. You might be best to try to negotiate salary and accommodation separately. If you break it down for them, they might not see it as being too high. |
