I did a search and I never found a topic devoted solely to The Simpsons. I must admit that I am huge into The Simpsons and have been watching it almost from day one. I know that it isn't as nearly good as it used to be but I am curious to see where all the fans of our favorite family are at. |

I can hear the ridicule already, but I'm gonna say it anyway...
Futurama was a better show. To all those who disagree...

I love Futurama and they were both created by Matt Groening. |

Futurma was great, but it didn't have the cultural impact of The Simpsons. Not even close. |

Also, you had to "catch on" to Futurama. The Simpsons were spot on from the get go. Especially if you were there for the first sample runs. |

I love the Simpsons. Satires, parodies, family problems, etc. I showed a couple of episodes to my students and they loved it. |

Rewatchability is why I think Futurama is a superior show. Perhaps if it had run for for as long as the Simpsons it would have fallen apart. And yes, Groening had already learned alot of things from doing the Simpsons. But pound for pound, episode for episode, Futurama wins. Even if you compare all four seasons of Futurama to seasons 4-7 of the Simpsons. |

BEST SIMPSON'S QUOTE EVER...
SEASON 17 I THINK:
(Bart and Homer are in a Diner-stlye breakfast joint) Homer: "Ya, I'll have the smiley faced breakfast please....You know the one with the two-egg eyes and the bacon mouth?... But I also want bacon hair, a bacon nose, bacon ears, a bacon moustache, and a five-o'clock shadow with bacon bits"
nearly peed my pants laughing, and there are some funny quotes out there! |

Please try this experiment for me....
Go to this site http://www.watchthesimpsonsonline.com/ and click on season 17. Then choose episode number 1704. For some reason, the site loads the episode fine only about 50% of the time. Right now, I can't get in. I want to know if this has anything to do with my firewall, my company blocks youtube between 9-6pm except for lunch time.
Thanks
