So, I never had more money than I needed back in college and I never made big purchases. I worked so I could pay my rent through my checking account and never needed any credit. I have zero credit history. I am almost finished with a year here and have saved some money. I am going to get a credit card but I am sort of clueless.
I got an offer for a card with 12.24% APR, which sounds horrible. Am I correct?
What's a good card offer for a first timer with no credit history?
-Do you like your credit card company or did they drive you to teach in South Korea just to get them off your back? Which ones do you use?
-Let's just say for the sake of arguement that I am responsible and won't spend money I don't have. Any advice would be great. |

You have no credit history. It's a fine APR.
I have several credit cards and good lord, no, "they" didn't drive me to teach in South Korea. Only your own irresponsible credit usage can do that. |
