I asked this months ago but the search function yet again is giving me nowt.
I need an HP service center for notebooks in Seoul.
Preferably a map to it as well.
Has anybody used one? |

There's one near I'park mall/space 9. Get off at Line 1 Yongsan. I'park mall connects with another older building via a sky bridge. Head to that building. You'll see signs for the HP center. It's either on the 3rd of 4th floor near the back. |

Cheers,
I'm sure the missus is going to be happy at being dragged around Yongsan again. |

It's the terminal building.
Yongsan station, Out the door, turn right. Walk to the end of the plaza.
You will be looking over the rail yard.
(If you see E-mart you went the wrong way, turn around.)
Turn right and walk 30 meters. Turn left into the pedway over the rail yard.
This will take you to the terminal building.
You are entering on the 3rd floor.
The HP service center WAS at the far end of the 4th floor. I haven't been there (HP) for a while so I can't confirm it 100%. If they have moved, ask one of the venders where the A/S (after service center) for HP moved too. |

What is the service like?
The DVD burner in her PC has burnt out. Used three times to burn DL disks and it's stuffed.
Are they going to be knobs or are they ok? It's still under warranty. |

I have had good luck with warranty work while in Korea (IBM/Lenovo and HP). |

Agree. Warranties are well honored and usually above and beyond. |

Good,
It's got a few months left on the warranty.
Do they fix it there and then or pick up the next week? |

Excellent service and free coffee.
Lad spoke passable English so I didn't have to grunt too much.
Called me on Monday, I didn't want to speak to somebody who spoke broken English on the phone so gave it to the co-teacher to answer. Turns out the guy speaks excellent English. Couldn't find the fault wanted to check and make sure they understood what was wrong.
Got back to me yesterday saying that they managed to make it not read blanks disks so have replaced the DVD drive for me and are shipping it back.
Very impressed.
Finding the place - when you come out of Yongsan station don't go down the long stairs and turn right. that is the wrong way.
It's actually right out of the doors where you are still sort of in teh plaza area. then right and right again
I know you said this ttompatz but I ended up going for a walk around yongsan due to thinking it meant outside outside Yongsan station.
So for HP service I give it a 5* rating. Only problem is you will have to buy an HP and that wouldn't be the best choice. |
