Alright. Does anyone here argue that the War is helping the US economy?

I mean, I don't see how the Iraq War could do anything but hurt our economy. At the very least, its billions of dollars taken away from investments.

Note: While *I* know war doesn't build an economy in the long run, it wasn't all that long ago that the dominant belief was that it does. There have been people claiming such on these forums. I'm sure most average Joes see all the spending and think it's true. The most likely to see it this way are the whack job conservatives that back the war and Bush. So I posted it.

Apparently the troops aren't being supported. Though, I'm sure if one of these suicidal dudes saw a yellow ribbon on the back of a H2 he'd prally reconsider.

Unfortunately the main point is that Jews are not Muslims. I'm sorry, but this is the heart of the Arab argument.

Jews do not mind Islam.

Nor do Muslims necessarily "despise" Jews.

ZIONISM is the problem, duh Rolling Eyes

9-11 WTC happened in Israel every other month for years. It wasn't until the American public got hit on 9-11 that we actually realized what the Israelis had been dealing with for over 20 years.

Rolling Eyes Yeah those poor Israelis have never done anything wrong. Their behavior in the West Bank and Gaza hasn't provoked Palestinians one iota. It is merely due to those wacky Muslims who hate Jews. Of course more than a quarter of Palestinians in the West Bank are Christian, but that's really besides the point.

And no, we just have been supporting Israel for the past few decades, but were totally in the dark over what was going on over there. I suppose you mean we can empathize with Israel now.

Well, I would be insulted if I were an Israeli and read that. Israel's experience is a hell of a lot different than 9-11. How many times has the USA been invaded? Twice? Last time being 1941? How many Americans lost loved ones on 9/11? How many Israelis have lost loved ones through acts of terrorism or war? A much higher percentage i'd imagine.

That's really an extraordinary statement. As someone who (I didn't) lived through the attacks of xxx, that they invited the attacks because the Israelis were attacking them. I don't think I've ever heard that before and I've heard some pretty absurd explanations for the attacks. I would ask Bucheon Bum to withdraw that comment and tell us that he didn't really mean that.

Embattled State Dept. Official Quits Blackwater Probe Over Brother's Role
By Warren P. Strobel, McClatchy Newspapers
Wed Nov 14, 6:53 PM ET

WASHINGTON The State Department's embattled inspector general suddenly removed himself Wednesday from investigations into security contractor Blackwater Worldwide, after belatedly acknowledging that his brother sits on a Blackwater advisory board. Rolling Eyes

The revelation came at a House of Representatives hearing that cited allegations from current and former State Department employees and the Justice Department that Inspector General Howard Krongard had impeded investigations into Blackwater and the construction of the $740 million U.S. Embassy complex in Iraq .

The allegations before the Oversight and Government Reform Committee added to the questions about Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's management of the massive U.S. diplomatic presence in Iraq and of the State Department in Washington.

Krongard initially said that he was unaware that his brother, former CIA executive director Alvin "Buzzy" Krongard , had any financial ties with Blackwater. He said he'd asked his brother about "ugly rumors" concerning his relationship with Blackwater and had been assured there was none.

But after Democratic committee members told him that his brother had stayed at a Williamsburg, Va ., hotel where Blackwater's "Worldwide Advisory Board" was meeting this week, Krongard used a break in the hearing to call his brother.

He said that Buzzy Krongard confirmed that he'd been at the meeting.

"I hereby recuse myself from any matters having to do with Blackwater," Howard Krongard announced.

Blackwater, which protects U.S. diplomats in Iraq , is under investigation for a series of lethal shootings of Iraqi civilians.

The revelation dismayed even Krongard's Republican defenders on the committee, who'd attempted to portray the probe by chairman Rep. Henry Waxman , D-Calif., as partisan score-settling.

Your brother "has done you tremendous damage," said Rep. Christopher Shays , R-Conn. "I would be one pretty unhappy guy."

The advisory board role pays a $3,500 honorarium per meeting, according to Blackwater correspondence released by the committee.

It isn't known whether Buzzy Krongard accepted the honorarium.

He didn't return a phone call seeking comment.

Yes, i'm sure a few here have heard this hugely exaggerated assertion.

So it that why they mapped out & executed the murderous attacks?

So AmeriKa might be drawn more squarely into serving Israel's "interests" in the Middle East?

Could explain 9/11's dancing Israelis Idea

Apparently Hitler thought "their tribe" was a danger to "his tribe", so they should be exterminated.

After all, any evil can be excused if you are looking after the interests of your own tribe.

Not so different after all.
