Friend in Itaewon will buy it on the spot if:

1) inspection (validity date is on the lower right hand corner of the registration/title document) is good for at least another year - the reason is that a lot of 1990-1993 cars just don't pass it anymore (degraded catalytic conv., other needed work etc.)

2) all "amryu" (national computer entries for such things as unpaid tax or tickets that will sow up when the person tries to register the car at the Gu office and prevent them form doing so until cleared) are cleared. If you are unable to go to the Gu office with buyer, you'll ned to provide a record document (chadongja won-bon) for this as well as a seal stamped power of attorney(ui-im-jang) and seal certificata (in-gam) for your seal, which can be made in 5 minutes next tot he Gu office if you don;t have one. All these things can be done at Yongsan Gu office.

Easiest to just go together, actually.
