Tuna Eyeball wine.

The Sushi chef will remove the frozen liquid within the fish eyeball and place it in a kettle and then mix soju. Let it sit for twenty minutes and serve in shots.

Are there soju bombs?

My favorite thing about tepanyaki (the japanese steak house cook table floor show) is doing sake bombs with the cook/chef/performer.

For one of my friend's 22nd birthday we went to a tepanyaki place at 9pm, the last "show" of the night. The chef was drunk as he'd been doing sake bombs all night. At this establishment the rule was, if you can chug your sake bomb faster than the chef your round was free. The chef was adamant that he would not lose, but I'm a fat guy that can drink, so I beat him. Drunk already he order another five rounds and I continued to beat him handily. Though the food wasn't as good as it might have been had he not been drunk, however I was drunk for free so it was delicious.

Soju bombs are known as Poketangju. You can also pour a bit of soju in beer this is known as somak. In some of the fancy room salons they'll have Poketangju with Whiskey. The Korean men love to do that with Russian girls.

Equal parts:

Gin
Rum
Vodka
Tequila
Triple Sec
Sweet and Sour mix
Coke

Or you can go for a Tokyo Ice Tea...just replace the coke with Midori.

Two of my personal favorites (one being my own creation)...

The Singapore Sling (Hurricane glass)
1 oz. Cherry Brandy
2 oz. Premium Gin
Dash of Grenadine
1 oz. Sweet and Sour
Top off with club soda
Garnish with cherry and lemon

The Green *beep* Net (okay it got beeped HORNET)

Equal parts:
Blue Curacao
Midori
Sweet and sour mix
Bacardi 151

Shake and strain over ice, mix 70% with 30% club soda

I wanted to buy something nice for myself and ended up pouring Kahlua's and milk over ice for the whole Korean family at Father in Law's birthday. Everyone drank it and asked again and again for refills.

Odd, at the end end I thought it was really foul, but it went down a treat for guests. Quite cheap, too.

I think this thread should stay but for drinks only purchasable easily within Korea. Like, no Hamilton Hotel Liquor shop as only store in Korea where you can buy additive drinks.

MOJITO, oh yeah.......

Beautiful drink, tastes so good but will come looking for you after a few.

You know what i'm saying.

You need good quality rum (cuban, the darker the better IMO)
squeezed lemon juice
sparkling water
sprigs of fresh mint
lots of crushed ice

Plus an umbrella and a straw.

Don't forget the fresh cane sugar.

Forget the umbrella and straw.

yup, forgot the sugar.

In Cuba they usually use a white rum when making them. I brought back a few bottles from Cuba and due to being out of the country they are as of yet, unconsumed.

But on June 23rd I will be back in Canada and I have a 5 year old bottle of dark cuban rum and a 7 year old bottle of not quite dark cuban rum.
Both will be used for Mojitos as that was what I was gooned on when I bought them.

I'll let you know how the dark rum turns out. Smile

Don't waste fine dark rum on mixed drinks! A real Cuban mojito only uses ron blanco (white rum). A Cuban friend almost slapped me because I tried making a mojito with dark anejo rum (Santiago de Cuba-reputed to be Cuba's best). He was a bartender at a 5 star resort, so he knew his stuff. I would also change in the above recipe, the lemon juice to fresh squeezed lime juice with a little pulp included. Another mojito-must is to never chop the mint leaves (they should be pounded in a bit, with a spoon or stirring tamp), it happens far to often in bars and it can ruin the drink.

Another Rum Favorite is Planters Punch:

2 oz. Dark Rum - I like appletons estate for mixed dark rum drinks
2 oz. Orange Juice
2 oz. Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz. Lime Juice
Dash Grenadine
Orange Slice or Cherry for garnish

I also like daquiris (girly but who cares) from La Bodegita del Medio in Havana (sorry can't make em myself), and the easy Rum and cola (best one ever was in Vietnam, using the $2 bottle of Vietnamese rum).

A nice refreshing drink in the summer is Japanese shochu on the rocks with water and a crushed umeboshi (pickled plum).

Pilsner Urquell, or some other beer of a similar ilk. Uncap it, pour it in a glass, and let 'er rip.

Plus, here's a good gin drink--don't know for sure, but I think it's the one your grandparents got into before your folks were born, known as the
'gin rickey.'

1 part lime juice (not cordial, mind you, but the actual juice of a ime)
1 part good gin
one part soda
Shake it, stir it, whatver, and done! Bartenders, if you're too drunk to pour this one, it's time to let the waitress take over.
