I was wondering about the rules for D-4 visa holders regarding part-time employment. I remember reading on here awhile ago that, if someone held a D-4, they were allowed to work part time (no more than 20 hours a week) while in Korea (though they were not allowed to teach privates). However, when I called immigration earlier this week, I was told that only students on D-2 visas were allowed to work. Was this just a mistake on the immigration officer's part or is that really the rule? Also, if D-4s can work but can't do privates, what kinds of part-time work would they be allowed to do? Voice recording? Translation work? |

Right. It's the visa that many language students are given when studying Korean here. |
