You honestly believe something as sophisticated & complex as 9/11 WASN'T a conspiracy?

Chalk it all up to mere coincidence & human error.

only by Al Qaeda

So you DO believe it was a conspiracy?

IGTG, what don't you understand? A guy living in a cave on the other side of the world (on dialysis, no less!) with a few of his buddies was able to pull off an attack requiring sophisticated military precision against the most greatly defended country in the history of the world. It's very simple. Get with the program.

Quote:
However, CNN journalist Peter Bergen, known for conducting the first television interview with Osama bin Laden in 1997, calls the idea "that the CIA funded bin Laden or trained bin Laden ... a folk myth. There's no evidence of this. ... Bin Laden had his own money, he was anti-American and he was operating secretly and independently. ... The real story here is the CIA didn't really have a clue about who this guy was until 1996 when they set up a unit to really start tracking him."[83]

Bergen and other maintain the U.S. aid was given out by the Pakistan government, that it went to Afghan not foreign mujahideen, and that there was no contact between the Afghan Arabs (foreign mujahideen) and the CIA or other American officials, let alone, arming, training, coaching, indoctrination, etc.

Has bin Ladin accepted responsibility for the 9/11 attacks? And does al Qaeda even exist?

bin Ladin was trained and funded by the CIA

Bush signed National Security order W199i to take FBI agents off the bin Ladin family trail

bin Ladin met with a CIA agent only weeks before 9/11

George Bush senior met with a bin Ladin brother on the morning of 9/11

bin Ladin denied responsibility for 9/11

And previously bin Ladin has clearly accepted responsibility for everything, why not this time?

The bin Ladin family were rushed out of the US after 9/11

The December 2001 bin Ladin confession video is an obvious fake

Some say al Qaeda doesnt even exist

And that bin Ladin didnt use the name al Qaeda until after 9/11

Richard Myers said on the record that the goal has never been to get bin Ladin, and George Bush says he doesnt care, either

The story...

There was very high trading in "put options" on American Airline and United Airlines, immediately before 9/11. These were effectively gambles that their share prices would fall, which of course is what happened once the attacks took place. This shows the traders must have had advance knowledge of 9/11.

Our take...

This is a complex story, but the claims dont always match the reality.

Although there were high volumes traded on these days, for instance, they werent as exceptionally high as some sites like to claim. Heres one analysis.

There were very good reasons to sell American Airlines shares, too, as theyd just announced a string of bad news. Read more here.

United Airlines stocks were falling in price, too. If investors anticipated they were about to release bad results then their put options would also be worth buying (although keep in mind that the UAL put volumes werent the highest in the year anyway). Heres our thoughts.

Some point to stories like the unclaimed millions from UAL puts as having a sinister explanation, but we disagree. Heres why.

There was plenty of talk about potential insider dealings in other stocks, too. We havent researched these in any depth, but its worth pointing out that some people believe the claims were overblown.

What about most of the options being put through a CIA-linked bank? We werent convinced.

The 9/11 Commission Report mentions this issue in its notes to Chapter 5:

Thanks, Joo. Very Happy

MOS should ask Tony Balony if he can use his name.

It would be more appropiate.

I don't know about you folks, but I get enough government propaganda from the government and its media arm-network television.

Keep up the good work. I like a heavy dose of

PROPAGANDA, on Sundays.

State Propaganda: How Government Agencies Produce Hundreds of Pre-Packaged TV Segments the Media Runs as News.

According to a major expose in The New York Times, federal agencies under the Bush administration - from the State Department to Agriculture to the Transportation Security Administration - have been producing hundreds of pre-packaged TV segments that have been broadcast on local stations as real news. We speak with John Stauber of PR Watch, which has been tracking the rise of government and corporate-produced news for years.

Perhaps this is a testament to the influence of the Conspiracy Theory crowd on the Mods--they are connecting dots the rest of us unenlightened ones don't see.

Ad nauseam is a Latin term used to describe something that has been continuing "to the point of nausea."[1] For example "This topic has been discussed ad nauseam"; it has been discussed extensively and everyone is tired of it.

Proof by assertion is a logical fallacy in which a proposition is repeatedly restated regardless of contradiction. Sometimes this may be repeated until challenges dry up, at which point it is asserted as fact due to its not being contradicted (argumentum ad nauseam). In other cases its repetition may be cited as evidence of its truth, in a variant of the appeal to authority or appeal to belief fallacies.

This logical fallacy is sometimes used as a form of rhetoric by politicians. In its extreme form, it can also be a form of brainwashing. Modern politics contains many examples of proof by assertions. This practice can be observed in the use of political slogans, and the distribution of "talking points," which are collections of short phrases that are issued to members of modern political parties for recitation to achieve maximum message repetition. The technique is also sometimes used in advertising.

The technique is described in a saying, often attributed to Lenin, as "A lie told often enough becomes the truth", although the user may not be intentionally promoting a lie and may just believe an illogical or faulty proposition.

regicide,

You have a right to say whatever you want on this forum, but you DON'T have the right to deliberately misrepresent what I or anybody else says. And being a fruitcake doesn't give you that right either.

Who are you to say what rights I have? No matter.

Are you actually saying that characterizing your postings as propaganda is not accurate? If so, you are really losing it MOS.

Calling ME a fruitcake, considering your compulsive behavior will have me laughing all day.

You have a lot to learn, MOS and your naivety is no excuse for your psychotic ramblings.

Learn something today , MOS. Let's start with false flag operaton:

False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to appear as if they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than one's own. False flag operations are not limited to war and counter-insurgency operations, and have been used in peace-time; for example, during Italy's strategy of tension.

The Gulf of Tonkin Incident was an alleged pair of attacks by naval forces of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (commonly referred to as North Vietnam) against two American destroyers, the USS Maddox and the USS Turner Joy. The attacks were alleged to have occurred on 2 August and 4 August 1964 in the Gulf of Tonkin.

LAAAAAAAADIEEEESSSS AND GENTLEMENNN!!!!

MOS AND THE CURRENT EVENTS FORUM IS PROUD TO PRESENT:

THE CONSPIRACY FRUITCAKE PARADE!!!!! *** TA-DAAAHHHH!!! ***

Richard C. Hoagland (born April 25, 1945) is an author of books that reject the scientific approach in favour of speculative theories on astronomical topics, and conspiracy theories connected to the U.S. space program. His major focus is on previous advanced civilizations in the solar system, in particular on Mars and the Moon. His ideas find no support in the scientific community.

Hoagland has made numerous claims about the existence of extraterrestrial life (or intelligence, by implication), which he believes is supported by photographic evidence from planetary exploration. He sees a feature that's reminiscent of a face on the planet Mars, and declares that it actually is a face. A rock on Mars that happens to resemble a skull actually is a skull, according to him, and a feature in a lunar crater that reminds him of the head of the fictional robot R2D2 actually is a robot, perhaps holding the key secrets of the solar system.

Hoagland, who appears as a regular guest and "science advisor" on Coast to Coast AM hosted by George Noory, continues to claim he is a physicist. There is nothing to support that Hoagland ever attended college.
