Thanks for all the info guys. Those who have had Swiss Chalet will agree with me when I say that there is absolutely no replacement for it. Not Chalet Swiss, or any other Swiss restaurant.
BTW, does anyone know why they call it Swiss Chalet? It's not Swiss, nor is it in a chalet!

Ah, the memories.

Swiss Chalet used to be a favorite of my grandparents. They would always take me to the one in Fort Lauderdale. I didn't even know they were still around. By the way does anybody remember the restaurant Captain D's? Kinda like a Long John Silver's.

There is a fondue place in Apgujeong but I can't recall the name. It is very close to the Holy Chow in Apgujeong, however.

Yes, they do still sell packets of the sauce. I recently had some mailed to me, then I bought a chicken from a chicken truck, (closest thing the Swiss Chalet rotisserie), then made some fries. It was very, very close to the real thing... yum!

So like IS there a Swiss Chalet or what!!!

I heard of that Chalet Swiss like years and years ago. I remember this discussion occured like 5yrs ago on the old boards...but comeon!!! I'd pay handsomely for some Swiss Chalet ribs/fries and gravey! Even the little buns they used to have.

I remember buying extra gravey for my fries...oh god craving time!!!

For those of us NOT in the know, I am under the assumption that Swiss Chalet is some type of chicken & ribs chain, that has excellent sauce, and is based in Canada??? I've never heard of the place before (although I do know Chalet Swiss)

If it is bbq, I can highly, HIGHLY recommend a chain called BBQueen Rotisserie - awsome chichen, great ribs, and Miller on tap.

Regards, Glen

you people are actually craving dirty chicken?

want to replicate it? its really easy - just take a chicken and cook it until it's pink on the bone.

serve with sauce.

i'm home and i haven't even been near one yet - st hubert's was always much better

seconded the chicken trucks in korea and the chicken at outback.

Wow, someone knows about St. Hubert, that's my all time favorite restaurant. I guess you're from Quebec?
