|
|
I need to raise some $$ and have some traditional Korean "gold money" 24k gold. Three are 37.5 gram square buttons (think very heavy chicklets here) and 2 are in the form of (round button) 11.25 grams and 18.75 grams. for a total of 142.5 grams or 4.58 troy ounces (31.1g) total.
If you like we can meet and go to a jewler to verify weight, value, etc... Please contact me via PM. |

Less than current spot price. Say 7% less. |

Ok, I'm probably going to seem silly here, but
I don't know much about dealing with gold, but couldn't you just sell it to the jewelry dealer for "spot" price? Isn't that the beauty of gold? You can just sell it at the market price anytime?
I guess what I'm asking is: What is the advantage of me, or anyone, buying this off of you? |

Actually, a lot less! If they cut throats over English education, you think they won't do worse at something like gold?!? Dave's is full of idiots, anyway! |

Real d.ickhead here!
Seriously, I went to a jeweler and he offered me the equivalent of penny weight. If they're cut throats about a simple thing like teaching English, they'd kill when it comes to something serious! |

I got 75% of the retail price for a gold piece I bought here in Korea. That means if you buy gold as an investment , it would have to go up that much just to break even.
Ebay is your best bet. You should get closer to 90% on a good auction. If you have a Paypal account, you can get the money immediately with your Pay Pal debit card.

Current Market Value of Gold as of 22:00 NYT: 791.00 USD per ounce.
You have: 4.582 ounces of it pure.
Total Market Value: approx. 3,624 USD
7 % markdown: approx 3371 USD
Converted to Won: approx 3.09 million won.
There I did the math for everyone. Might be a hard sell here, especially with current gold prices on the decline. Good luck. |
