Let's bet that Ron Paul fails in the primaries. The guy doesnt have a chance in hell of even coming close to getting the nomination. Nor should he: sympathizers of the Burmese junta are scum, ergo Ron Paul is a scumwad.

But Im wiling to put myself on the line. If RP does get nominated as the GOP candidate, Ill leave Dave's. If he fails, as he surely will, you leave. Are you willing to put your money where your mouth is?

He won't win. He doesn't play to the idiot bases in either Kansas or Vermont.

Funny thing about the Burmese Junta. To get information from the Monks, do you know what technique the government used? Water boarding.

Proud?

Hey Jinju,

If you're so adamantly opposed to Ron Paul because he doesn't support one resolution against Burma, then please tell us who you would support, and we can all pick that person apart for their failings. Honestly, is it that important that an American candidate be so adamant about Burma? America and the West have pretty much enabled that brutal dictatorship for the last 50 or so years, and you're gonna make it a deal breaker? Sounds like picking at hairs to me.

This post represents the problem with the American political system.

If a person isn't the VERY TOP represented, they think it's a complete waste of time to read about their ideas, thoughts, opinions or putting any support or interest into the campaign.

Yes: Too many Americans are unable to think clearly on most substantive topics.

Don't you get tired of straw dolls? There is no less intelligent way to try to win a debate.

america has too many people. there are no unifiers. the leadership class puts more faith in their stocks than they do the nation. like lincoln opined, a house divided cannot stand. they gotta keep bringing new drones to prop up the pyramid scheme of social security.

the patient may be on the death but that won't stop those of us that knew her and loved her from striving for the best. the whole fake "republican-democrat" choice will be the final nail in the coffin unless drastic medicine is applied.

yeah, paul'll never get elected. hopefully enough of his ideas will be incorporated into the parties (ala the wobblies back in the day) that we can massage more vitality out of the old, beaten body. preserving freedom, liberty et al is the duty of each and every generation. when one generation neglects such an obligation, the repercussions are never good. with each war in american history, freedoms have been given up by the people and/or taken by the gov't. the bill of rights is dead. big brother is here. anything that stems his march of tyranny is a good thing. ron paul is the only candidate against the war. that alone, in and of itself is enough to ge the vote of this old veteran.

This is a stupid bet. Let's take it the other way ...

You pick any candidate you like, other than Hillary.

Let's bet. If your candidate doesn't become President, you'll leave Dave's forever.

Incorrect. He's the only Republican. Kucinich is, and has been, against the war. I believe Richardson and Gravel are calling for immediate withdrawal, also.

Huffy, Huffy, Huffy... don't be so huffy. Uh, is there something WRONG with learning from others? Regardless, I have come to these conclusions on my own (meaning via my own review of the literature) and not recently.

Ehm... I thought I was EFL?
