Depends on the school. I got September's OT in October. I'll get October's this month.

Getting paid for after school classes. HAHAHAHAHHA. That is funny.

I don't know how things are being done everywhere else. Where I am in GEPIK, the only time you get paid extra for after school classes is if those classes are overtime.

I think one native teacher in my district asked their principal to be paid extra for the after school classes. The principal took out the contract and said "Nothing in here says I have to pay you extra."

almost the same thing happened to me...in the end, i got about half of what i was supposed to.

to the OP, u should discuss this with your co-teacher ASAP! if after talking to her/him, u have any doubts about getting paid in full, i would stop teaching them and ask them to deposit what you're owed to date and tell them u will continue teaching them after u have received the first deposit.

As far as the amount, I would advise that he wait and see first - don't unnecessarily give the impression that you don't trust them to pay you - public schools are usually a lot more reliable than hagwons.

Just inquire about when you can expect to get paid (but I found that it tends to vary from month to month...)

At my high school I've never had a co-teacher for after-school classes...

Gyeonggi-do Education Ministry reportedly is enforcing the minimum 22 hours of regular classes weekly more strictly now so the overtime rate likely kicks in after that ...

One thing I don't like is that they don't automatically deduct taxes on overtime pay - teachers are obliged to file and pay what's owed on that income themselves (usually with a Korean teacher's help) at the end of the year.

Great way to attract the best teachers, eh?

Ask to be paid minimum 30,000 per class that students pay for, and ask to be paid for each session, or approximately once per month.
