Just wondering if anyone has any info on this? A number of recruiters have told me that it will be possible, and I really want to believe them. I have a winter camp job lined up for when my contract finishes on Christmas Eve, but I really don't want to go to Japan and find that I can't do it.
I know I will just have to wait and see, but I would like to know if anybody has heard anything about this or is in a similar position. |

I am no expert on the subject, but from what I've been reading about the upcoming changes, it seems that they will affect the E-2 visa only. No mention of procedures for any other visa types being changed. Of course, I don't really know.
Also remember that C-4 workers are taxed at about 25%, so keep that in mind for your expected pay in the camp. |

Might this have changed? The contract that I've received quite clearly states that the tax for this winter camp, on a C4 visa, is 10%. It even shows a breakdown of salary, and the tax that will be deducted. It's definitely 10%. |

In 2006 I worked on a C4, don't remember the tax but it definitely was not 25%. |
