Think it depends on what you want out of life...
and on whether or not you can afford a place in the U.S. with a low hate-crime rate. |

Seriously, I would be worrying more about finding a job and a bank willing to give you a mortgage and the cost of gas which has more than quadrupled from 10 years ago and the cost of health care and everything else. Hate crimes are a problem, but they shouldn't be a deciding factor in your decision to move back there or not. And I don't think they are as big of a problem as a lot of other things that get much less media attention. |

Hi - I'm White I have ethics and self interest concerns about cross race crime that is not a hate crime and its reporting and coverage. In the US, its open season on Whitey and according to CNN, thats OK.
In Europe, places like Sweden have permitted hate crimes against Whites. That is if you kill a White person becuse you hate White people and the case has plenty of very good evidence, Sweden will only charge you with murder.
I dislike going to the states for that reason so I have a different take on your question.

I think it is a crime to pay us so little here.
I need more cash to give the carjackers when
I go back home, just so they won't shoot me. |

Yeah, we seem to be backsliding into the '60s again. All we need is the Draft reinstated and another Beatles group and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
If you're contract's up soon, I'd stay another year if your situation here is good. If it is not good, then find a better situation/country/or school.
The hate crimes thing is something I wouldn't worry too much about. While the numbers have gone up, the lynchings are still 0. I'd be more concerned about getting shot than just that alone (Re: Bioxi massacre).
Do keep in mind that the DHS and TSA has gotten more paranoid lately (just read the blog at the Marmot's hole, I think). As the election closes in then you'll see them act up even more. So think like this- if you go back now, there is no guarantee that you'll be allowed to leave the country again. |

It appears a serious recession is in the works to rear it's ugly head within the next year. The stock markets have been doing great, not because the American job market and production are great, but because Wall street is trading derivatives based on international economic performance particularly in Asia and India. The foreign direct investment in Asia and India from American business investors is what keeps the wealthy American investors' boats floating to historic highs, not domestic investment and business performance. American business in not investing in domestic operations and developing American employees due to cheaper labor in China and India. Not just production labor, but software, IT, accounting, and most all the knowledge worker fields except teaching so I outsourced myself to Asia like you did as well. So this means that the little man in America is not going places, but there are always possibilities if you are positioned properly for a good job or small business opportunity. Of course most good jobs and viable small businesses today are skilled labor based such as plumbing, electrician, welding, being an owner operator of a big rig, or managing a fleet of trucks. My brother in law is a rare and dying breed as a real estate appraiser who wants to be able to put me into the business as I am qualified and very capable, but opportunity lacks and he is unsure of his own long term business stability. I am all for partnering up and growing a practice since he is licensed and could sponsor me for licensing, but it's too bad there is not opportunity for expansion to include all the newbies like there might had been years ago in Americas domestic economic hayday. I just don't know about repatriation to the states yet, but I do know I would like to travel the world more while making a respectable lower middle class income as a teacher. This new visa garbage could present hardships, despite not having a criminal record or anything.
It's too bad the physical US job market is in shambles, but if you got big money to invest, then opportunity is knocking. Of course, you have to be careful to not buy too high in the favorable scenario of having money to make money with. I am speaking from the viewpoint of St. Louis, Detroit, and Boston residents. Maybe Vegas is jumping and hopping with opportunities. |

Well, so we decided that since lynchings are rarer these days, all we need is as bit more money in cash, folded and ready, to pay the carjackers, and we are sweet. Sweet for America. Let's hear it for America! America, America. Oh all the brave and true. America America ...
Come on guys. There's a good rate of exchange. Buy a house on a lake. Start paying for a Piper float plane and save for extra college. Now is the best time. |

The US Dollar is tanking with no end in sight.
Now is the time to be abroad and take advantage of that.
Personally, I think the U.S. is going be going through some very miserable times over the next several years.
Regarding race crimes. Ah, there are so many problems in that area, I wouldn't even begin to no where to address them. However, as very few people are achieving the kind of 'America' that the TV projects everyone to be living - i.e. Friends, and a whole hoste of other white kids with great apartments in great neighborhood shows, it's just going to exarburate the problem of non-equality between races - a reality that doesn't really exist, as most white people are not inheriting those kind of lives like projected on TV. |
