What are the requirements to get a short term C4 visa? Is it the usual transcripts/diploma situation? If someone is in Korea on a tourist visa do they still have to make a visa run outside the country, or can they do it in-country? Thanks. |

I'm getting a C4 at the end of Decemeber. As far as I know, transcripts aren't required, nor is your original degree. Just a scanned copy of degree and passport info, and copies of your contract. I'm pretty sure that you do have to do a visa run to another country, and I've been re-assured that any new E2 laws will not affect the C4 visa run. Hope not, because I'm in Korea and there's no way I'm going back to England to get a visa for a 3 week job. |

You also need a few passport photos handy, and a letter of invitation to employment from your school. |

What kind of places can apply for such visas for their workers?
What is the period of employment?
Can it be renewed or extended? |

I believe that C4 is typically for short term employment purposes. It's offered to people working at summer and winter camps, visiting professors/lecturers, and also entertainers. It's valid up to 90 days. Not totally sure about extending or renewing, I'll find out at the end of January! |
