I really have had success with a few great songs.

1. Don't cha by the *beep* cat dolls. They love the "Don't cha..."

2. YMCA of course and Titanic. Lemon Tree (see in my videos site, the cool animated version, you can also find on youtube).

2. Korean songs -- I have many with translation but also they love seeing a Korean perform and sing in English. Very motivating. Dong Bang shin gi does a super job. Also other groups.

Really motivating to use korean musicians singing in English.

A good one for low level kids is "hello, goodbye" by the beatles. And every kid seesm to know that Westlife song "my love" for some reason..

Deubel-- you taught "don't cha" to your class? You are a risk taker. (I mean that in the best Bottlerocket sense of hte word) I hope they were adults...

I have 1500 students that can sing this song.

Very successful for all middle school grades even the soccer team.
