|
|
Hi there, I'm looking to buy any Christmas decorations, I'm in the Suncheon area and can possibly travel but would like to buy something close. My fiance is living in Suwon and he would be able to pick anything up near seoul/suwon/bundang/etc. I'm specifically looking for a Christmas tree and lights, also tree decorations, preferably gold or white, nothing tacky and unmatching please. If you have anything and are willing to sell it, please email me at [email protected]. Or post your messages here, then email me the pictures. Thanks a lot!

Does Korea stock this sort of stuff in it's stores? I didn't come to Korea expecting to find that it's Christmas, but since I seen it was Halloween, I would expect to find a small slice of Christmas available in familiar style just as I had with those orange plastic Halloween Jack-o-lantern candy buckets from America. Uh, I mean China. Cough. cough. |

The only place I know of is in Seoul. Last year I got a 6' tree free Costco, and at the 고속터미널 on line 3, is a market and in December every stall sells Christmas decorations. There are stalls on the concourse but they are not very good value. You must go up to the 4th floor (I think). If my memory serves me right the 2nd floor is all clothes, the 3rd is curtains and Hanboks, and the 4th is flowers, normally, and xmas decs in December. |

It's just Costco products at way jumped up prices.
For xmas decs, if in or near to Seoul see my post above, if not then hit the streets. I have been here for 5 years and every year I see Christmas celebrated more and more by the masses, and thus products are becoming easily available and cheaper. |

I don't know about every New Core, but the one in Incheon across from Shinsaegae has a great collection of Christmas things. We always get something new for Christmas from there. |

OH yes, New Core outlet that has the Kim's club grocery store? I will have to
check my local New core outlet as it's one fancy store clad in marble much like the Lotte department store. I am living in fancy and affluent Changwon, so I would think I can get these sorts of things within 2 weeks. |

The New Core Outlet shop on the 5th floor in changwon has quite a few christmas decorations and some big trees as well....as I was there on saturday and the prices seem a little expensive but not too bad.
I was pretty surprised as when i first came here i remember hardly any being on sale at all.... |

Hi,
I don't have these things, but they do have a selection of stuff in Kim's Club. I just bought a little x-mas tree set there for 20,000 won. I'd imagine they also sell things in Homeplus, E-Mart, and Homever.
If you're looking to buy used, you're better off trying the Yahoo Group for Suncheon. Not sure if you're already on it. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sunchon_crowd
Good luck. |

Okay, guess I will just have to buy new. I already had an offer from someone for a small christmas tree but not sure if it's what I'm looking for. Will decide next week ^^ |
