I was reading about Japan the other day and was intrigued to find that many hot springs in Japan are mixed gender nude. It is not commonplace but it does happen.

I would like to know if there are any mixed gender nude hot springs in Korea. And if not, why?

A nude spa is great when it's your spa, and you pick and choose who can be in it. When it's a spa open to the general public, I'd advise against going, especially in places where obese people like to raise the water level dramatically. The human body is not always beautiful.
I know, I had a bad experience once. Still suffer from nightmares, despite years of counselling. Oh the horror!

In Japan they are everywhere. They were more common some 10 years ago I have heard. Japanese have a different take on nudity from the rest of the Asian countries. Just pick up a local tourist guide from where you live in Japan and ask a Japanese friend which onsons are mixed nude onsons. Guarantee at least half of them are. My ex girlfriend looked at a brochure for where I was living then in Japan a while ago, and she read about every onsen and pointed to at least half of them as being mixed and nude.

Tried to get her to invite her girlfriens and go to-gether with them to a mixed onsen. She said she was too shy.

i remember in Oregon when they secitoned off part of Roooster Rock off as a nude beach. I went and it was hard to keep the Rooster down. Actually, after awhile it didn't matter that much. I mean they had some cuties there, but you could nnot dwell on it without bringing unwanted attention to yourself. I did wish that I had a better physique and presentation at that time.

I used to live at an apartment complex near Universal Studios in Orlando that had an outdoor sauna near the pool. Mostly young people used it.

I never saw nudity when I used it during the day, but after I saw the maintenance guy clean the filter clogged with condoms I stopped using it...

Not a bad business idea- why not open a mixed gender nude sauna right outside the gates of Ewha? You'd end up with all the pretty leggy things from Ewha plus every greasy hagwon frat boy in the country.

I know I'd go.
