I said leftists GENERALLY denigrate US troops. I stand by it. I come from the home of Canadian socialism and have listened to that garbage all my life.
twg: I know how upsetting it must be to have McGarrett hand your ass to you on a platter but get over it, comic boy. Mosley does not lie. If you don't like what ole Moz says that's your privilige(earned for you in large part by US troops)but don't call a guy who's honest to a fault a "liar". Leave that brilliant and original type of libel to keane. |

Hypocrites. |
Right on the money, bruddah. Notice too how all the leftists suddenly got real quiet after my last post? Their knee-jerk (emphasis on the second word) reaction to anything dealing with the military always gets the best of them, usually because they don't have a clue how the military actually functions.
That said, Joo, I must say that Clinton is late to the dinner table yet again. Considering she serves on the Armed Services Committee, she could and should have spoken up more than a month ago when a member of her own party sought to sponsor the bill. |

| Canadians might, yes. It is not their country, government or people. They have no moral obligations to like the imperial army to their south. |

"the IMPERIAL army to their south."
Mosley smiles at the judge and turns around. "Your witness, counsel." |

That Pittsburgh newspaper apparently has a backlog of stories because this one broke more than two months ago. And last month, Rep. Jason Altmire (D-PA) and a member of the House Armed Services Committee, introduced a bill (HR 3793) with three other members, (all of whom are Republicans) that would enable all returning veterans to retain their signing bonuses and all other renumeration to which they are entitled, thereby nullifying existing statutes and regulations of the VA.
FoxNews and Michelle Malkin's website Hot Air both featured this story as well as reader feedback which, unlike you, was for the most part non-partisan and blamed mid-management at the GAO and VA. These rules predate the Bush Administration as well.
Now go back to your sniper's nest. |
So, your "gotcha" is that 1) the story is old (a couple months) and 2) some proper-thinking legislators reversed the program?
The issue is that they even dared to suggest such a program. And the homelessness and Walter Reed. And the lack of support for your returning soldiers.

Watch those two documentaries (both available on all torrent networks) about how "supported" the troops are by your government. |

We'll take it to the jury. The jury can contemplate 1) Why the "imperialists" never went into Afghanistan/Iraq before 9/11.
2) Why the "imperial" army no longer occupies, oh, let's say, Japan where instead the "imperial" powers that be created the greatest economic rival that "imperial" America has ever had.
But, hey, we're off topic now, eh? |

1) Iraq was and is fully, totally, 100%, completely unrelated to 9/11. It is a colonial experiment.
2) Japan is irrelevant. America is an imperial power in Iraq today.
The American army is an imperial army. There is absolutely no argument against this. |

Japan is "irrelevant''?!
True "imperialist" powers do not voluntarily give up that which they have conquered.
I'll let you get back to your Chomsky. |

So, your argument is that:
America is not guilty of imperialism today because it wasn't guilty of imperialism in the past
To continue with our legal drama theme:
I am not guilty of killing my second wife because I didn't kill my first.
That is your logic. |

As usual Mosely and McGarrett and their superbly dismissive attitude.

Go back to reading Mein Kampf! I'm sure there plenty more righty literature for you to read out there, but this'll be a good start for you. |

Actually, a leftist would find much to soak in with Mein Kampf. Castro did but then again his first heroes were Hitler and Mussolini. Goebbels' first hero was Lenin not Hitler. See how it works with ideologies based on hatred, totalitarianism and collectivism? Tweedledum and tweedledee. When a leftist calls an opponent a "fascist"/"racist"/ "Nazi'' then you know what little intellectual capacity he/she has. Let's call Dome Vans the poster child here.
peel: The debate over whether or not America is "imperial" goes back to at least the Spanish-American War. I would argue that "imperialism" is a long-run thing and America has not proven itself to be "imperial" in the long run. Hey, this could be a good topic-why don't you start a thread on it?
Now, back to the topic. Damned straight wounded vets should get the best of deals from the authorities, military & civilian. I just doubt the sincerity of some who would raise the point: is their concern for the troops or is their concern more aimed at taking a lame-ass shot at Bush/Cheney? I know my answer.... |

You all suck.
The left can't talk about the failures of the adminstration without resorting to talk of conspiracy and secret agendas, the right can't admit the adminstration has seriously steered the country in the wrong direction.
You wanna know what is dangerous people? Dangerous is a national news organization getting away with having one of it's pundits actually advocating electrocuting demonstrators and getting laughs. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=3b9_1195500439
Dangerous is when a significant portion of the population can even argue that the US government was behind 9/11.
Mark my words. America will truly become a more totalitarian country in the future. America will be the target of a massive terrorist attack. Face it, the world is going to hell in a hand basket. If it is up to the current American administration/populace to steer us away from this course, god help us all. |

Oh, really, so you posed a rhetorical question before since you view this issue as moot?
Saying as much doesn't make it so. It's easy for snide Canuck leftwingers like you to disparage the American military when you know full well that your CDF seldom has to put itself on the line these days. Yes, I know there are troops in Afghanistan but if you actually took the time to contemplate the situation with a level head you would have to admit that we have done much of your dirty work for you over the years, irrespective of what is happening in Iraq. But then we've done the same for most of Western Europe too. Funny how the recently liberated Eastern Europeans understand this point implicitly. They obviously haven't forgotten Communist hegemony.
Dome Vans:
We're dismissive of leftwing clowns who haven't mounted a new angle to their basic argument in over a century and a half. Still preaching from the same manifesto, only the cover's laminated with computer-generated graphics now.
You guys don't and never will get it as long as you sit back in your cozy corners not having to confront the realities of life under actual authoritarian regimes.
