Absolutely agree!

I've danced (swing dancing) with some newbies who barely know a rock step from a rock, and some who didn't even know that, but had a great time -- more fun than a couple of dancers I know who are good, but have too much attitude (although thank goodness the number of good dancers who have such an attitude is very small). The key is to smile and have a good time, and not be too self conscious about it. Just dance, and don't worry about it so much. And being honest about it.. that's definitely the way to go.

And hey, everyone's started at some point or other; most people still remember what it's like to feel totally uncomfortable and out of place on a dance floor. I do!

Have you ever walked by a club where you can see in? You can't hear the music and everyone's dancing. They look stupid.

That will be you.

The best thing I've learned about dancing is, if you don't know how to, you don't have to. In other words, people think "dancing" is about looking cool or moving a specific way. But really, it's just your body's response to music. You can do alright by just bopping your head or moving your shoulders to the beat, as long as you remain cool and relaxed. You don't need to be flashy or athletic. Even if you can't dance to the beat, don't try to impress the girl or feel like you have to "be" a certain way to dance. As the other people said, be honest, and try to have a good time.

I think dancing is really sexy. You have to go out with a few mates and some girls for company as well or it's no fun.

Tbh I think a lot of 'western' annd indeed Korean men are far too inhibited when it comes to dancing. But they don't know what they're missing. Of course technique is an important part of it. But you can't get too hung up on that. Having fun, confidence, letting yourself go and dancing to the beat are the main things.

I love the Latin style of music and dance, Salsa etc. It's very sensual, rhythmic, it has a spiritual quality to it at times.

My advice to the OP and others who don't like dancing. Get out there and enjoy yourselves. Lose your stupid pride!!! You might discover a whole new world out there.
