So if the employer is the one to break the contract, ie. doesn't provide the medical insurance, pension, or flight home as stipulated in the contract, what kind of monies would I be expected to pay if I leave? And do I have to give the 2 months notice, if that is in the contract as well? Anyone know? Thanks for any help you guys can give! |

How about you just report them for this crap?
Another option is to demand they let you out with a letter of release and no fines, fees, etc. Tell them if they don't, you WILL report them. |

Well, I do want to stay in Korea, but I'm not sure how that'll work with all the new regulations. Can I transfer my visa?
I had a good school last year, at least with money issues. I had no problems and so I'm not really sure what I would need to do.
Who do you report this kind of problem to? |

Pension, labor board, tax office, etc. I'm sure someone else will provide you with the numbers shortly...people? Anyone? |

Ok tried the immigration number and the guy didn't speak English, just said sorry no and hung up on me...
so does anyone have another number I can report this school to? I've decided to leave but I don't want someone else to get suckered in either. |

what about labor?
they speak english-e; last time I called they did anyway.
I think labor is the only place you can raise a stink, according to my friend who had trouble with his crapwon. |

Thanks so much for the help!
One more quick question: If I have to do a "midnight run", can the school prevent me from getting an E2 visa and coming back in January? I hate confrontation, but would rather be honest and tell them I'm leaving and why I'm leaving, but if they ask for repayment of things should I just leave? |
