That I do what? Dig PB? I hardly know anything bout him. We don't share any opinions, should that list represent him well. Typically, American conservatives are slightly above obedient muslims on my "people I dislike" scale. |

| I read one of PB's books and while he is a little nutty on some issues, on other issues he isn't that far off. It's too bad he wasn't more critical of Bush 7 1/2 years ago. |

Bush, Cheney and Rumsfield (and Perle, Wolfowitz (sp), Frum) should all face the noose. How many children have those bas.tards killed? |
How many lives did US policy in Iraq save?
Saddam had it to conquer Kuwait and kill off the Kurds. |

Yeah, so they killed some kids to save some kids. Good for them. The war was illegal and war crimes have been committed. |

So the US invaded 10, 15 years later? When Saddam was tightly controlled and monitored? Saddam wasn't engaged in mass killings when the US entered to "save" lives. |

The US could not contain Saddam and pressure Saudi Arabia on Al Qaeda.
IF the US did not contain Saddam then Saddam would kill the Kurds and invade Kuwait again.
Remember it was the US who was containing Saddam not the UN in fact most countires in the world wanted to see Saddam go free. |

So we went into Iraq to save Kurds???
How stupid do you think people are, Joo?
If we were concerned with saving Kurdish lives, we'd be invading Turkey.
As it is, the welfare of the Kurds is not a matter that concerns U.S. security -- we gave them up 80 odd years ago. |

no the US didn't not invade Iraq to save Kurds.
But US actions in Iraq saved more lives so they were not immoral
There is no humanitarian argument against the war. There are other reasons for one to be against it, but humanitarian reasons isn't one of them. |

What kind of Orwellian thought are you engaging in?
There are always humanitarian reasons not to go to war. |

What about the one million dead, including 500,000 children, as a result of sanctions during the 11 years before the war? |

Saddam starved his own people.
What would Saddam do if he was allowed to go free? |

Can you imagine a different way?
Assassinating him? Engineering a coup against him? Arming the Kurds?
Anything that would not have cost American (and countless Iraqi) lives, wasted American money, wasted resources, given us $3.79/gal. gasoline, strengthened Iran, etc?
Show some creativity here. |
