I'm changing public schools In February/March. As for my visa, will I renew or transfer?

Will I have to leave the country?

Can I do everything before my current visa expires?

Will your contract change hands? I mean, are you working for GEPIK and going to SMOE? Then you will need a new visa. Will you be working for EPIK and just staying in the EPIK system? Then you don' t need a new visa.

GEPIK says that if you change schools you need to start all over again.

No transferring.

Not sure if this is because they can't work why but that is what it says in their handbook.

That's stupid. Don't you sign with GEPIK and they place you in whatever school they want, or have some teachers traveling to multiple schools? Why would a contract renewed with GEPIK need a new visa?

Dunno.

It's in the handbook with konglish notes underneath each section explaining it to you.

From the handbook (available online) it sounds like it's too much work for the principals to figure out how much less they have to pocket or put back.

Anyone in GEPIK and affected by this may want to contact immigration and clear things up.

GEPIK Supervisers can't tell their @ss from a hole in the ground.
Most of them are operating on some level of sleep deprivation.

No I can't cause all their HWP files are corrupted.

However

※CONTRACT RENEWAL※ Can a TTG(Teachers To Gyeonggi) renew the contract but transfer to a different school?
Its possible in case he/she has completed his/her first year service at the designated school.

I would think if you p1ssed out the window and watched what way it went you would have a better idea.

Unless there is a policy change with the new regs coming into effect, you WILL need to leave the country.
