What is the correct passive sentence for the following active sentence:
She will give her a present.
a. She will be given a present by her.
b. A present will be given to her.
c. Both a and b are correct.
Why? |
B, in a passive sentence, the object becomes the subject.
I'd even say in this case, you would want to change from the subject pronoun to the proper noun, that is, if we don't know who the person is.
e.g. A present will be given to her by Cindy (the substitute proper noun for the original subject pronoun). |
