Okay, they did win a war once then. They repelled the Japanese. That's what I was wondering.

America won a war recently in Afghanistan against the Taliban. American won a war in Iraq against Sadam's regime. While the peacekeeping part isn't over. I would consider both of those victories.
America did not iwn in Vietnam or Korea, no.

If you are a peaceful people, like someone asserted Koreans claimed to be. You should be a lot more polite to those around you that are foreign. Lest you find yourselves conquered.

I think he's refering to the defeat of the Baathists and the Taliban as a victory..

But really the Americans really only won the battle and not the war.

I was referring to the defeat of the Baathists and Taliban, yes.

The defeat of the Taliban has ramifications through all of Central Asia. I think the war is in effect, won. Once you enter the occupation period of the conflict the war is over. Once you overcome and destroy the regime in charge the war is over.

Changing ideology and the nature of how people govern themselves to me is not 'war'. It's a biproduct of war the victor has to deal with.

I guess I can see both sides of it though.

Haha, my bad. Kim Il Sung. To answer your question:

He founded this eutopia somewhere in the northern lands of Korea. His people were content and cheerful. They fed on juche which nourished them and was an even more profound invention than kimche. These people became brilliant and were world renowned for their artistic ability. They began to create magnificent statues everwhere. Once they even began to build a hotel so magnificent and splendid the world could not fully appreciate its beauty as it would drive people insane with joy at the very sight of the completed work. So they left it incomplete where it rests in this magical land to this very day, able to be appreciated.

Unfortunately when he tried to bring his discoveries and ideas to the masses. People in Southern Korea began shooting at him. For nothing could be better than kimche.

God was angered by this of course. He brought men with white skin to the land of Korea. With them they began to bring all sorts of horrible things like STD's. (Some sort of violent missile I believe, that erupts only near virginal Korean women and ruins them for life)

Anyway, it's a long story. Rumor has it though before he died this leader of Eutopia had a son. Not sure though.

I see half this thread has mysteriously dissapeared. "Don't mention the war", as British tourists say in germany.
