I've had numerous problems with my hagwon since I started. This week things seem to be coming to a head. I'm tired of fighting for everything. Nothing has been said about visa runs with the new laws. I've also heard if you don't finish a contract you aren't eligible for public school positions. After living in hagwon hell, I want the security of a ps job. I guess I'm just venting, but if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

I just went a month without hot water and got a warning because the students said I smelled. |
Was that a verbal or a written warning? I guess it's not important, but if you were handed a written warning that said "Warning: You smell really bad", I suppose that would be pretty hard to erase from your memory. |

What's your problem with the new employee? You said something about the new employee, but you erased it.
Second, you said something about not getting warm water for one (1) month but you erased that as well. What is going on that you're not telling us?

I am on my third contract in South Korea. A public school one. This is the first contract I intend to finish. I got fired from hogwon A, hogwon B went broke and evicted me and I ran away from the contract, and yet here I am.
Who the hell told you that?? |

My guess would be either a Korean employee or Director-because as you well know, they tell nothing but The Whole Truth.
Not loving the students enough at PLS hogwan?: YOU"RE FIRED! |

how long do you have left in your contract? if you finish you should get severance, but judging from your hagwon about your apt and the "numerous problems", i think you'd be best looking for a PS job ASAP. give notice and quit. i'm not sure what's happening with the visa regs.... but i do know that you DO NOT have to finish your hagwon contract to get into a PS job. |
