so far I've contacted a lot of travel agents and the tickets are about 750-800,000 to Ho Chi Minh and back in January. Anyone else had better luck in getting a cheaper quote? I started looking on Korean websites too but the prices are for students  |

Don't understand why ticks to HCM city is so high compared to neighboring countries like Thailand, Singapore, ......
A round trip ticket to Thailand is half the price of HCM city. |

| They are usually pretty cheap but it's the time of the year when things are most expensive to go to Vietnam |

| Go to Thailand first, then buy an Air Asia ticket to Vietnam. Shouldn't be more than about 60-70 bucks. |

| i considered that but tickets to thailand weren't cheap either. it just averages out the same. |
