Has anyone got any good ideas, or past expericences of high level questions, in English, for interviewing Koreans. I already have my bank of position specific Q's. But I'm after ideas for Q's regarding areas such as politics, economics, etc.

Thanks in advance

Ask them if they can name a football player who's not Korean.

Ask them how many spices Korean food has.

Ask them why everyone spits on the street like it's a competition.

Ask them why the use of bad English in advertising and on apparel is a sign of sophistication.

Ask them why holding hands is unseemly, but being sh*tfaced in public on your way to visit a hooker isn't.

Ask them why age nullifies asinine and dumb decisions.

"What is more important; the actual truth, or saving face?"

"Would you take orders from someone who is younger than you?"

"Do you think it's ok to keep two sets of business records? ex. One real
set, and another to show the government?"

"Have you ever cheated on a major exam?"

"You see a line waiting for the bus. Do you cut in line or do you wait for your turn?"

"What do you think of bright silver business suits?"

"What do you think of intellectual copyright laws?"

"What do you think of mixed-race couples?"

"When is it ok to play Starcraft at work?"

"How many times in a week do you visit prostitutes?"

...of course one could tailor questions for any nationality. For an American, it might be...

"What is of higher importance; The Superbowl or the World Cup?

"Do you believe in evolution?"

"Who is the greatest country on earth and why?"

"What is better, Coke or Pepsi?"

"How often do you watch FOX News?"

"Who did you vote for on American Idol last season?"

"When is it Ok to invade other countries?"

"What is the ideal percentage of body fat?"

"What is bigger: 1/3rd or 1/4th?"

Or for Candians...

"Do you own a backpack with a Canadian flag on it?"

"When is it Ok to wear hiking boots to work?"

"How many fleece vests do you currently own?"

"How does one pronounce the word 'A-B-O-U-T?'"

etc.

The United States flag has 50 stars - why?

Name 5 US states (sounds easy, but watch a Korean struggle to name any beyond Washington, New York - and only because they're also the names of big cities - and Texossuh)

90% of the population of the UK live in which country?

What do English-speakers call the country Deutschland?

A qualified person can teach English in Korea if he/she is from one of seven countries - the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Which one didn't I mention?

People in Israel are mainly of what religion?

On which Japanese island is the city Sapporo?

What's the national language of Brazil?

Misc common sense/knowlege

Earth is between which two planets?

Spiders are not insects. Why not?

What's 50% + one-quarter? Express your answer as a decimal.

A,E,I,O,U are all what?

How many millions are there in 6.6 billion?
